Day 1: Arrival in San Cristóbal

Arrival at San Cristobal Island, assistance and welcome at the airport by our representative. Transfer by private vehicle to the hotel. Hotel accommodation.

Lunch in the restaurant.

In the afternoon 14h30, you will have a guided tour to the Naufragio Bay where a water sport called kayaking is performed.

The tour includes: a naturalist guide, kayak  (fiberglass/plastic),lifeguard, transportation, drinks and snacks.

What you will probably see: sea turtles, sea lions, rays, different types of fish, frigatebird, pelican, finches, different types of endemic plants, etc.

Itinerary: You will picked up at the hotel, we will board our ground transport to go to our first point of visit.

The first place to know is one of the beaches near the boardwalk called “Playa de Oro”, here our naturalist guide will indicate all the regulations of the Galapagos National Park, as well as techniques and tips to kayak in a safe and very fun way.  If everything is clear  we proceed to put on our life jackets and climb in the kayak, remember to always go with our guide  and attentive to his indications.

Leaving the Playa de Oro we will paddle the entire Naufragio Bay bordering its coast where we will observe flora and fauna of San Cristóbal Island we will also appreciate one of the main lighthouses of the island

This tour concludes at approximately 6:30 p.m.

Day 2: Full day Snorkel Tour

Breakfast at the hotel 7h30.

In the morning 8h30, you will take a guided tour to the lobería beach

The tour includes: a naturalist guide, snorkeling equipment, transportation.

What you will probably see: sea turtles, sea lions, rays, goldfish, frigate, petrels, pelican, finches, different types of endemic plants, etc.

Itinerary: You get picked up  at the hotel, to go to the agency,where you will meet yournaturalist guide, and we will prepare everyone with the snorkeling equipment, which includes pair of fins, mask and snorkel.

We are heading to La Lobería beach in a car, once arrived we will walk for about 15 minutes until we reach the beach. In this place the guide will give you the briefing of the site to later perform the snorkeling activity, where you can observe countless unique species of the island, you can also recreate on the beach and relax. Then we go to the ravine of the hill of Las Negritas to observe the nesting and resting areas of the different endemic birds of the island.

 

We will board our ground transport to head to our first point of visit.

We will make our first stop in La Lobería,once on site passengers will walk for about 15 minutes until they reach the beach. In this place the guide will give you the briefing of the site to later perform the snorkeling activity, where you can observe countless unique species of the island, you can also recreate on the beach and relax. Then we go to the ravine of the hill

Lunch 12h30pm

 

In the afternoon 1:30 pm, you will have a guided tour of the Interpretation Center, Tijeretas, and Punta Carola.

The tour includes: a naturalist guide, snorkeling equipment, transportation.

What you will probably see: sea turtles, sea lions, rays, starfish, different types of fish, frigate, pelican, finches, different types of endemic plants, etc.

Itinerary: you get  picked up at the hotel, we will board our vehicle to go to our first point of visit.

The interpretation center, in this incredible place we will know all the detailed information on how the islands were formed, their marine currents, the history of how they came to be colonized, and their progress to the present day.

Then we will go to the cerro de las tijeretas, here we will be able to appreciate a beautiful panorama of the city and we will also see the fantastic  Bay of Darwin, the guide will talk a about the site and the animals which  can be observed around it, such as frigates. , pelicans, blue-footed boobies, finches, cucuve, etc. and you  will have enough time to take pictures.

Continuing with our tour and , we go down to Darwin Bay, a charming place where you can do a snorkeling activity to appreciate the aquatic creatures found in this paradise. Here you can see octopuses, sea turtles, sea lions, starfish, lobster, urchins, rays, prickly pear, bat fish, etc.

Then we will head to Punta Carola Beach, here you will have another pleasure  to snorkel if you wish or relax on the beach at all times your guide will giving you an explanation of the place.

Finally we will go to Playa Mann Beach, where we will have time to relax and do another snorkeling activity, in this place we will wait for our transportation to return to the hotel.

This tour ends at approximately 6:00 p.m.

Day 3: Bike tour

Breakfast at the hotel 7h30.

In the morning 8h30, you will take a guided bike tour to the upper part of the island.

The tour includes: a naturalist guide, transportation,  bicycle,  lunch box.

What you will probably see: Galapagos mockingbird, finches, owls, different plantsendemic to the island, farm and wild animals,etc.

Itinerary: You get picked up at the hotel at 8:30 a.m., to go to the agency, where you  will meet their naturalist guide and prepare everyone with the cycling team.

We will drive with our car to our first point of visit.

We will begin our descent from the highest point that is the Laguna el Junco. This place is an inactive volcano which in the dome of it has formed a lagoon, here we will climb to the top of the volcano to have a panoramic view of the island. In this place you will have time to take fotos and observe endemic birds around the site.

From this place we will take their bikes and begin to go down the northwest side of the island. Always accompanied by your naturalist guide, for any inconvenience or question. Here you can see different species of endemic plants, finches, mockingbirds, owls, petrel, heron, etc.

Our next point of visit will be La Galapaguera, where we will visit the hatchery of the land turtles and observe a semi-natural habitatwhere they live and developduring their long life. Then we will descend and go to our next point which is Puerto Chino beach, where we will have time to relax, swim and observe the spectacular view from the highest point of this beach.

After this exciting tour we will go up by car to a nearby restaurant, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch and rest.

We will go by car again to the Junco where we will begin our second descent until we reach the city of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. We will use a different road than the normal road, so you feel the adrenaline of the bicycle trip.

The return to the port is at approximately 3:30  p.m.

Day 4: Recreational Diving "Sunken Ship"

Breakfast at the hotel 7h30.

In the morning 8h30, you  will take a recreational diving tour.

The tour includes: diving guide, all diving equipment, transportation, snacks  and refreshments.

What you will probably see: reef sharks,  sea turtles,  rays,dolphins, sea lions, starfish, sea urchins,  octopus, batfish,  assorted fish species, octopuses,  lobsters, barracudas, blue-footed piqueros, pelicans, and frigates.

Itinerary: You get picked up the at the hotel at 08h00, we will drive with our car to the agency, where you will meet your  diving instructor and we will prepare everyone with the diving equipment, which includesa long wetsuit, boots, fins, regulator, BCD vest,  mask, snorkel, leads and two diving tanks.

At 8:30a.m., we will goto the Aquarium I Pier and we will board the boat and then set sail.

We will sail to the dive site called Karahua which is the sunken ship where we will perform our 2 dives of the day.  A ship that sank approximately 100 years ago, made exports of different products to mainland Ecuador. Here you can observe different species, since over time a large reef has formed around the hull of the boat. Here you will prepare all the diving equipment and listen to the briefing of  the diving guide. Later on you will jump into the sea and then following a line that is connected from the surface to the sunken ship. Once there, you will completely turn around the sunken ship until returning to the starting line, this dive also lasts approximately 45 minutes. In this dive you will be able to observe sea lions, reef sharks, batfish, rays, puffer fish, barracudas, turtles, sea urchin, starfish of different types, moray eels, lobsters, octopus, etc. Once the dive is over, you will return to the boat to enjoy snacks and drinks. You will have a break of about 1 hour before your second dive.

The return to the port is at approximately 14h00  in the afternoon, depending on the ocean conditions.

Overnight at the hotel.

* In light of the pandemic, we will implement strict cleaning policies. Each piece of equipment will be completely disinfected between uses, and the agency and the boat will be cleaned daily. Hand sanitizer will be available at all times.

Day 5: Freshwater Waterfalls Tour

Breakfast at the hotel at 7h30.

On this day you will have a guided tour of the waterfalls.

The tour includes: a naturalist guide, transportation, .lunch

What you will probably see: Galapagos mockingbird, finches, owls, different plants endemic to the island, etc.

Itinerary: You get picked up at the hotel at  8:15a.m., to go to the agency,where you will meet the naturalist guide, and we will prepare all the equipment.

At 8:30 a.m., we will drive with our car  to our point of visit.

Once on site, the guide will give you a briefing of the site and safety protocols. You will have a guided hike for about 40 minutes along a trail, to reach the waterfalls. You will have time to take pictures of this amazing site. Here we will relax to observe these amazing landscapes, the fauna and flora of the place.

Then we walk for a short time to observe the nature of this site, until we reach the viewpoint, you can take pictures of the site and see unique species of the islands, and finally  we will end up in the waterfallse where you can swim, recreate, and appreciate the nature of the place.

We will have our lunch at the biological reserve of Jatun Sacha.

The return to the port is at approximately 14h00  in the afternoon.

In the afternoon you are free to rest or perform any other activity.

Day 6: Leon Dormido Tour

Breakfast at the hotel 7h30.

On this day you will have a snorkeling excursion to one of the best places on San Cristobal Island.

The tour includes: a nature guide,all snorkelingequipment, transportation, lunch box and refreshments.

What you’ll probably see: Galapagos sharks, black and white tip sharks, hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, manta rays,sunfish, dolphins, sea lions, starfish, sea urchins, assorted fish species, blue-footed, Nazca boobies,  pelicans, and frigatebirds

Itinerary: You get picked up at the hotel at 08h15, we will drive with the car to the agency, where we will prepare everyone with the snorkeling equipment, which includes a short wetsuit,fins and a mask and  snorkel.

At 8:30a.m., we will head to Muelle Acuario I and Zarpe, where you will meet your naturalist guide and embarking the boat.

Navigation to the islet Leon dormido, where you can observe the majestic rock  of the volcanic lava, once we arrive at the place, the naturalist guide will proceed to give you the detailed information about the place and the animals around. You will have  2 snorkeling sessions, the first; from the channel between the rocks and a second session in the west corner of the rock. The naturalist guide will be able to suggest some other rock site or a long snorkeling session in turn, depending on ocean conditions. Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes. In this place you will be able to appreciate different marine species such as the Galapagos shark, white and black tip sharks, hammerhead sharks, turtles, manta rays, sunfish, dolphins, sea lions, starfish, sea urchins, and different types of fish, etc. In the same way, you can observe around the rock birds such as blue-footed, Nazca, pelicans and frigates.

Once visited the Leon dormido you disembark on  a beach that could be,  Manglesito / Puerto Grande / Cerro Brujo,  depending on the itinerario of the boat. Here you will take a walk along the beach and have time to do another snorkeling activity.

The return to the port is at approximately 15h00  in the afternoon depending on the ocean conditions.

* This itinerary is subject to change at the discretion of the Galapagos National Park and its naturalist guide. For example, you can visit the beach first and Sleeping Lion second in certain cases, depending on ocean conditions. Day 7: Departure from San Cristóbal

Breakfast at the hotel at 7h30.

You will have the morning free to make purchases in the village  or learn more about the city of San Cristobal and its people. You  will be transferred to the airport depending on the time of your respective flight.
