Day 1 – Cerro Tijeretas and Punta Carola Tour

From the impressive panoramic view of Cerro Tijeretas to the pristine beaches of Punta Carola, this tour provides you with the opportunity to explore stunning landscapes, discover local wildlife, and enjoy relaxing moments by the sea.

Itinerary:

Presentation and Interpretation Center

All passengers must report to the agency at 8:00 a.m., where they will meet their naturalist guide, thus beginning their day’s journey. The transportation will first take them to the Interpretation Center, a landmark site that opens the doors to the history of the Galapagos Islands, especially San Cristóbal Island. Here, you can immerse yourself in the past of these lands through images and maps, accompanied by a detailed explanation from your naturalist guide.

Hike to the Tijeretas Viewpoint

Subsequently, you will embark on a approximately 20-minute hike along a natural trail that will lead you to the Tijeretas Viewpoint. From this vantage point, your senses will be delighted by the presence of birds such as frigates, blue-footed boobies, and seagulls.

Darwin Bay and Snorkeling Activity

The journey will continue towards the iconic Darwin Bay, a place that will offer you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the crystal-clear waters during an exciting 45-minute snorkeling activity. In the sea, you may observe sea turtles, playful sea lions, impressive reef sharks, and rays.

Punta Carola and Second Snorkeling Session

Following that, the itinerary will lead you to Punta Carola, a beach of unique beauty. Here, you will have the opportunity for another snorkeling session, lasting approximately 45 minutes. In this underwater realm, you may encounter curious sea lions, marine iguanas that defy conventions, and fish in a dazzling array of colors.

Mann Beach and Relaxation Time

Finally, we will head to Mann Beach, where you will have time to relax and enjoy another exciting snorkeling session.

Day 2 – Bike Tour

The adventure continues with an exhilarating bike descent to the northwest, exploring endemic species and unique landscapes. We will visit the Galapaguera, home to land tortoises, and then head to the relaxing Puerto Chino Beach.

Itinerary:

Breakfast and Start of the Tour

Passengers will enjoy breakfast at the hotel at 7:30 a.m. Subsequently, at 8:30 a.m., the tour will commence, and they will meet their Naturalist Guide.

Exploration in the Highlands of the Island

We will travel in our transportation to the highlands of the island, starting the descent from the highest point, El Junco. This dormant volcano houses a lagoon in its crater, providing a panoramic view of the island. Here, passengers will have time for photographs and to observe endemic birds.

Bike Descent through the Northwest

From El Junco, passengers will take their bikes to descend through the northwest side of the island, accompanied by their naturalist guide. They will have the opportunity to observe various species of endemic plants, finches, Galápagos petrels, owls, herons, and more.

Lunch and Rest

After the exciting journey, we will drive to a nearby restaurant to enjoy a delicious lunch and rest.

Bike Descent to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno

We will take the car again to El Junco, where we will begin the bike descent until reaching the city of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. We will use a different road to provide passengers with the thrill of the bike journey.

Back to the port

The day concludes around 3:30 p.m. with our return to the port.

Day 3 – Discovery Scuba Dive

On the third day of your amazing diving adventure, you’ll head to Darwin Bay and Carawa, two of the most emblematic locations in the Galápagos. You’ll submerge into their crystal-clear waters and explore their mysterious tunnels and passages. While diving, you’ll have the opportunity to spot sharks, turtles, manta rays, and an incredible variety of marine life. It’s the culmination of your Galápagos diving trip and an experience you’ll remember forever.

Itinerary:

Arrival and preparation

Start your adventure early. All passengers must arrive at our agency at 7:00 a.m. on the day of the tour. At 8:00 a.m., we will head to Acuario I Pier, where you will meet your diving instructor and begin preparing for a unique underwater experience.

First Dive at Darwin Bay

We will sail to the spectacular diving site known as Darwin Bay, where our first dive of the day will take place. Your diving instructor will provide you with a comprehensive briefing, and once in the water, you will practice surface exercises. You will descend gradually using a line, allowing you to adjust to the pressure and avoid ear discomfort. You will reach a maximum depth of 12 meters and explore the waters for approximately 45 minutes, depending on your air supply. This diving site is teeming with marine life, including reef sharks, rays, turtles, barracudas, batfish, sea urchins, various species of starfish, octopuses, and moray eels.

Recovery and Rest

After the thrilling dive, you will return to the boat to enjoy snacks and drinks. You’ll have a well-deserved break of approximately 1 hour before your next underwater adventure.

Second Dive at Carawa

We will sail about 15 minutes to reach Carawa, a diving site that houses the remains of a shipwreck that occurred almost a century ago. Over time, this wreckage has given rise to the formation of a vibrant reef that attracts various marine species. Equipped with everything needed and after receiving another briefing from the diving guide, participants will immerse themselves in these historically rich waters. During the dive, which also lasts around 45 minutes, they may observe sea lions, rays, pufferfish, barracudas, turtles, sea urchins, various types of starfish, moray eels, lobsters, and octopuses.

Back to the port

The adventure concludes around 1:00 p.m., at which time you will return to the port. Please note that the exact return time may vary depending on ocean conditions.

Day 4 – Lobos Island

Discover the wonderful Lobos Island, a natural paradise inhabited by an impressive colony of sea lions. This journey will immerse you in a unique environment, where you can enjoy the proximity to these charming marine creatures and explore the rich biodiversity of the surrounding waters.

All passengers must check in at the agency at 8:00 a.m., at which time they will have the pleasure of meeting their naturalist guide, and the journey will begin.

Exploration at Lobos Island

Upon arriving at Lobos Island, passengers will disembark at one end of the island. Here, they will take a walk, exploring the entire site. The naturalist guide will provide explanations about the area and the animals around, such as finches, pelicans, blue-footed boobies, marine iguanas, frigatebirds, sea lions, etc. Once the walk is completed, passengers will return to the boat to sail to the second site known as Ochoa Beach.

Lunch and Snorkeling at Ochoa Beach

Upon reaching Ochoa Beach, passengers will have lunch on board. In this location, they can take a break and also engage in snorkeling to observe the local wildlife, including sea lions, marine turtles, starfish, octopus, rays, and various types of fish.

Return

The return time is approximately at 12:30 p.m., depending on ocean conditions.

Day 5 – Lobería and Las Negritas Tour

Throughout this day, you will enjoy the company of a naturalist guide who will lead you through breathtaking landscapes and provide the opportunity to connect with the rich natural diversity of the island. From picturesque panoramas to fascinating underwater experiences, this itinerary encapsulates the magic of the Galápagos at every step.

Check-in and Start of the Tour

Destination 1: "La Lobería"

The transportation will take you to the first destination, “La Lobería.” A 45-minute guided walk along a natural trail will allow you to explore the picturesque coast of San Cristóbal Island. During this journey, you will have the opportunity to spot marine birds such as blue-footed boobies, frigatebirds, seagulls, and pelicans.

Destination 2: "Mirador de las Negritas"

The next stop is the “Mirador de las Negritas,” a prominent scenic viewpoint. Here, the naturalist guide will provide a detailed explanation of the flora and fauna in this environment, enhancing the experience. Afterward, you will return to “La Lobería.”

Snorkeling Activity at "La Lobería"

Back at “La Lobería,” passengers will enjoy a snorkeling activity for approximately 45 minutes. This underwater experience will allow them to closely admire sea lions, marine turtles, iguanas, and a variety of fish, including pufferfish and reef species.

Back to the agency

The itinerary will conclude with the return to the agency around 1:00 p.m., marking the end of this unforgettable day.
