Itinerary
All passengers need to arrive at the agency at 7h00 in the morning of their tour, where we will outfit everyone with the snorkeling gear, including a short wetsuit, fins, and a mask and snorkel.
At 7h30, we will head to the Muelle Acuario I and Zarpe, where you will meet your naturalist guide and we will embark.
This tour highlights the 5 best places to visit on the island, and is one of our most popular options. The places you’ll see include: Rosa Blanca, Punta Pitt, Bahía Sardina, Cerro Brujo, and Kicker Rock
First, you’ll arrive at Rosa Blanca, where you’ll snorkel in the Rosa Blanca lagoon, home of sea turtles, rays, sea lions, reef sharks, and many fish species. After snorkeling, you’ll have a moment to relaxon the beach before heading to Punta Pitt.
Here, the boat will stop to see the rare red footed boobie, along with other bird species including blue footed boobies, Nazca boobies, frigatebirds, finches, and more. Depending on the ocean conditions at the time, we’ll stop for a small fishing adventure and try to catch some tuna and wahoo.
Next, we’ll head to Bahia Sardina, where lunch will be served on the boat (fish, chicken, vegetarian and vegan options available, along with nonalcoholic beverages and snacks). At Bahia Sardina, those who wish can snorkel and see the sea lions, rays, sea turtles, and fish that frequent this rea.
Then we forward to Cerro Brujo, where you’ll observe the cathedral, a natural rock formation that is great for photos and bird watching.
Finally, our last stop will be Kicker Rock, a slab of volcanic rock in the middle of the ocean and offering one of the best snorkeling sites of the island. Here, you can spot Galapagos sharks, white and black tipped sharks, hammerheads, sea turtles, manta rays, moon fish, dolphins, sea lions, starfish, sea urchins, and many different fish species. Birds are often around Kicker Rock as well, and it’s common to see blue footed boobies, Nazca boobies, pelicans, and frigatebirds. We will navigate around the rock, and you can enjoy a view of the island from the east side of the rock.
We will arrive back at port around 16h30, depending on the sea conditions .
*This itinerary is subject to change at the discretion of the Galapagos National Park and your naturalist guide. For example, you might visit the beach first and Kicker Rock second in certain cases depending on ocean conditions. We take safety seriously, and always strive to provide you with the best and safest experience.
*In light of the pandemic, we will be implementing stringent cleaning policies. Every snorkeling equipment will be thoroughly disinfected between uses, and the agency and boat will be wiped down daily. Hand sanitizer will be available at all times, and we will adhere to protocols recommended by the National Park. Your–and our–safety comes first.
