Itinerary:
Early Departure to Tortuga Island
To start this thrilling journey, it is necessary for all passengers to be at the agency promptly at 7:15 a.m. in the morning. Once there, you’ll be welcomed, and the necessary equipment for the expedition will be prepared. The official itinerary begins at 7:30 a.m. when we head to the Pier, the starting point of this unforgettable adventure on Tortuga Island.
Scenic Navigation
During the first leg of our journey, we’ll enjoy a picturesque navigation lasting approximately 30 minutes. This stretch not only takes us to our destination but also provides the opportunity to delight in the majesty of the Pacific Ocean, with the possibility of spotting dolphins playing in the crystal-clear waters and various bird species flying across the sky.
Discovery of Marine Birds
Upon arrival at Tortuga Island, we will commence our exploratory activities. We’ll begin with a panga ride, an exciting journey skirting the island’s coastline. During this tour, we’ll delve into the world of marine birds, with the opportunity to observe endemic and native species such as frigatebirds, Nazca boobies, blue-footed boobies, lava gulls, and other tropical birds. Our naturalist guide will provide a comprehensive briefing and detailed information about the marine environment and its bird inhabitants
Immersion in the Waters of Tortuga Island
After the thrilling panga ride, it’s time to immerse ourselves in the crystal-clear waters surrounding Tortuga Island. Here, in one of Isabela Island’s most significant sites, we’ll enjoy an enriching hour-long snorkeling session. One of the most notable features of this place is the cleaning station, where we can witness intense animal activity. The species frequenting this area include sea turtles, a wide variety of tropical fish, rays, sea lions, marine iguanas, whitetip and blacktip sharks, hammerhead sharks, and giant mantas. The experience of swimming alongside these majestic creatures is truly unique and rewarding.
Visit to Lobería Grande
After an exciting snorkeling session, we’ll head to Lobería Grande. During this journey, there’s an opportunity to engage in a hands-on fishing demonstration. If luck is on our side and we catch some fish, we’ll savor a delicious meal featuring freshly caught fish as part of our experience. At Lobería Grande, more adventures and discoveries await, with immersion in the transparent waters and contemplation of abundant marine life remaining the main highlights.
Second Snorkeling Session
After replenishing our energies with a delicious onboard lunch, we’ll continue exploring the depths of the sea in a second snorkeling session. Our experienced guide will provide a detailed briefing about this new location and its fascinating marine inhabitants. Once again, we’ll have the opportunity to come face to face with the wonders of the ocean, from colorful tropical fish to graceful sea turtles, playful sea lions, and impressive sharks.
Back to the port
Our day of adventures comes to an end with the return to the Puerto Villamil port, scheduled for around 1:15 p.m.

If you have your own snorkeling or diving gear, you can bring it either a day before and leave it at the agency or on the same day of the tour.
Conditions:
In light of the pandemic, we have implemented strict cleaning policies. Each piece of equipment is thoroughly disinfected between uses, the agency and the boat are cleaned daily. Hand sanitizer is available at all times.
