Itinerary
All passengers must arrive at the agency at 7h00, where we will meet our bilingual naturalist guide who will give us the last and respective directions to start the excursion.
At 7h15 we will board our ground transportation, to go to the PNG control where we will begin our excursion towards the Sierra Negra Volcano.
We go in a private taxi to the Sierra Negra volcano (1124 m asl, 0.83 ° S, 91.17 ° W) is an elliptical shield volcano of 60 × 40 km (volume ~ 700 km³), elongated in the direction WSW-ENE, Al North side is usually cloudy, allowing vegetation to grow. This area is the place where people lived in times past in Galapagos, Puerto Villamil, on the coast, and Santo Tomás de Berlanga, located 20 kilometers inland in the highlands. This volcano also has one of the largest craters in the world.
An activity to fall in love with nature with bird watching and a very beautiful flora, we will arrive at the control of the Galapagos National Park where we will begin our guided walk in which our certified guide will give his briefing and a brief description of the area, the flora and fauna that lives in it, we will enjoy a walk of approximately 45 minutes. We arrive at the 2nd viewpoint, this being our visit point where we will appreciate this wonderful caldera of the Sierra Negra Volcano. Inside this caldera we can see volcanic lava and vegetation which makes this site interesting to visit.
The activity we will do is: walking. The excursion lasts from 3 to 4 hours.
We have completely comfortable transportation, equipped to provide an efficient and safe service.
Once the activity is finished, we will return to our ground transportation to share our experiences and return to our initial meeting.
The return to the port is at approximately 13h00 depending the weather conditions.
