What You Will Probably See
Red Footed Boobies, Blue Footed Boobies, Pelicans, Frigates, Finches, Nazca Boobies, Sea Turtles, Sea Lions, Manta Rays, White Tip Sharks, Black Tip Sharks, Galapagos Sharks, Hammerhead Sharks, puffer fish, starfish, barracudas, tuna and more
All passengers must arrive at the agency at 7:00 in the morning, where we will prepare everyone with the snorkeling equipment, which includes a short wetsuit, fins and a mask and snorkel.
At 7h30, we will go to the Muelle Acuario I and Zarpe, where you will meet your naturalist guide and we are embarking.
Passengers when arriving at Punta Pitt will carry out their first snorkeling session in Bajo Pitt, the naturalist guide will give you the briefing and then you will launch into the sea. After finishing their first session, passengers will have some time to rest and also have some snacks and drinks. The second section will be on Pitt Islet, each session lasting approximately 45 minutes. In both snorkeling sites it is possible to see Galapagos shark, sea turtles, juvenile sea lions, white tip sharks, black tip shark, hammerhead shark, rays, puffer fish, starfish, barracudas, tuna, moray eels, etc.
Once the passengers finished the snorkeling activity, they will head to Punta Pitt beach for lunch on board. For your meal, you may choose between fish, chicken, vegetarian and vegan options. Beverages and assorted snacks will also be available.
Later you will have a walk of about 2 hours to get to Cerro Pitt and get to know one of the most particular species of the entire island; The red-footed booby. Likewise, many other species such as blue-footed booby, Nazca booby, pelicans, frigates, finches, etc. At the end of the walk, the passengers will return to the boat to begin the return trip.
The return to the port is at approximately 16h00 depending on the sea conditions.
* This itinerary is subject to change at the discretion of the Galapagos National Park and its naturalist guide. For example, you can snorkeling first and hiking second in certain cases, depending on ocean conditions. We take safety seriously and always strive to provide you with the best and safest experience.
* In light of the pandemic, we will implement strict cleanup policies. Each snnorkeling equipment will be completely sanitized between uses, and the agency and the boat will be cleaned daily. Hand sanitizer will be available at all times, and we will adhere to protocols recommended by the National Park. Your–and our–safety comes first.
