Day 1 – Darwin Bay and Carawa Diving

Begin your Galapagos diving adventure at Acuario I Pier, where you’ll meet your diving instructor. Experience two thrilling dives in Darwin Bay, home to sea lions, sharks, rays, and more. Then, explore Carawa, a century-old shipwreck teeming with marine life. Enjoy breaks with snacks and lunch on board before returning to the port based on sea conditions. Get ready to dive into an underwater paradise!

Arrival and Preparation

The first day of your exciting underwater adventure in the Galapagos Islands begins with all passengers arriving at the agency at 7:30 a.m. At 8:00 a.m., we will head to Acuario I Pier, where you will dive into the world of scuba diving. There, we will introduce you to your diving instructor, and you will prepare for an experience that will be etched in your memory forever.

Exploration in Darwin Bay

Your first dive of the day will take place in Darwin Bay, an extraordinary dive site. Before descending, you will receive a detailed briefing from your diving guide, who will introduce you to the underwater wonders that await. You will descend slowly into the depths, reaching a maximum depth of 12 meters. For approximately 45 minutes, you’ll have the opportunity to observe playful sea lions, reef sharks, batfish, graceful rays, curious pufferfish, and much more. After this thrilling dive, you’ll return to the boat to enjoy a well-deserved break with snacks and drinks while sharing your impressions with other diving enthusiasts.

Discovery at Carawa

After recharging energy, the adventure continues at Carawa, a place where time has stood still since the shipwreck over a century ago. After receiving instructions from your guide, you will dive and explore a reef that has developed around the wreckage. During this approximately 45-minute dive, you may encounter playful sea lions, majestic rays, curious pufferfish, turtles, and a variety of marine life that will leave you breathless.

Back to the port

At the end of this unique experience, you will resurface and prepare to return to the port, where you are expected to arrive around 1:00 p.m., although the schedule may vary depending on ocean conditions.

Day 2 – Whale Rock & Tijeretas Wall

Requirement: Open Water License (minimum 4 dives)

On your second day of diving, set sail for Whale Rock, an impressive site where you’ll immerse yourself in the depths of the sea. Here, you’ll explore waters teeming with sea lions, sharks, rays, and an astonishing diversity of marine life. Afterward, head to Tijeretas Wall, home to a rich variety of marine species. Experience two exciting dives and admire the hidden beauty of the ocean.

Arrival and Preparation

All passengers should arrive at the agency by 7:30 a.m. At 8:00 a.m., we will head to Acuario I Pier, where you will meet your diving instructor, and the navigation to your first underwater destination will begin.

Exploration at Roca Ballena

Your first dive will take place at Roca Ballena, an impressive diving site. Here, after preparing your diving equipment, you will receive a comprehensive briefing from your diving instructor. Then, you will plunge into the depths, exploring an underwater world teeming with life. For approximately 45 minutes, you’ll have the opportunity to observe sea lions, graceful rays, blacktip and whitetip sharks, hammerhead sharks, Galapagos sharks, pufferfish, barracudas, turtles, sea urchins, various types of starfish, moray eels, lobsters, octopuses, and much more. After this thrilling dive, you’ll return to the boat to enjoy snacks and drinks before your next underwater adventure. You’ll have approximately one hour of rest before your second dive.

Diving into Tijeretas Wall

After recharging energy, you will sail for about 25 minutes to reach the second diving site, known as Tijeretas Wall. Here, once again, you will prepare with your diving equipment and receive a briefing for your second dive of the day. Plunge into the crystal-clear waters and explore this impressive underwater ecosystem for approximately 45 minutes. During this dive, you’ll have the opportunity to encounter sea lions, reef sharks, batfish, graceful rays, pufferfish, barracudas, turtles, sea urchins, various types of starfish, moray eels, lobsters, octopuses, and much more.

Back to the port

After these thrilling dives, you will return to the port, with the estimated arrival time around 1:00 p.m. Please note that the exact return schedule may vary depending on ocean conditions.

Day 3 – Diving at Kicker Rock

Requirement: Open Water License (minimum 8 dives)
The third day of your incredible diving adventure takes you to Kicker Rock, one of the most iconic locations in the Galapagos. This rock formation rises majestically from the ocean and offers an exciting challenge for adventurous divers. You will plunge into its crystal-clear waters and explore its mysterious tunnels and passages. While diving around Kicker Rock, you’ll have the opportunity to spot hammerhead sharks, turtles, manta rays, and an incredible variety of marine life. It’s the highlight of your Galapagos diving trip and an experience you’ll remember forever.

Arrival and Preparation

The tour begins early, with all passengers arriving at the agency by 7:45 a.m. At 8:00 a.m., we will head to Acuario I Pier, where you will meet your naturalist guide, and your navigation to one of the most iconic sites in the Galapagos Islands will commence.

Exploration at Kicker Rock

Upon arriving at Kicker Rock, you will marvel at this majestic volcanic rock rising imposingly from the ocean. Here, the diving guide will provide you with a comprehensive briefing on the dives you will undertake. On this day, two dives will take place. The first will start from the channel between the two rocks, and the second dive will take place at the west corner of the rock. Depending on ocean conditions, the guide might suggest other exploration spots in this unique rock formation.

Underwater Encounter

Each dive has an approximate duration of 45 minutes, and between dives, you will enjoy a surface interval of about 1 hour. During these dives, you will have the opportunity to admire the diverse marine life that inhabits these waters. You may encounter Galapagos sharks, blacktip and whitetip sharks, hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, manta rays, moonfish, playful dolphins, curious sea lions, charming starfish, sea urchins, and a varied range of fish.

Beach Break and Lunch

Once you have explored Kicker Rock, passengers will enjoy a disembarkation on a beach. The location of this beach may vary depending on the boat itinerary and could be Manglesito, Puerto Grande, or Cerro Brujo. Here, you will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch on board the boat and take a pleasant walk along the beach. You will also have time to immerse yourself in the crystal-clear waters during a snorkeling activity.

Return to the Port

The day will conclude with the return to the port, scheduled around 3:00 p.m. However, please note that the exact return schedule may vary depending on ocean conditions.

Ferry San Cristobal – Santa Cruz

The passengers must present themselves at Hammerhead Shark Pier at 6:00 in the morning for the necessary luggage checks by the staff of the Galapagos National Park and proceed to board the boat. The boat journey is estimated to take approximately 2 hours, with the expected arrival in Santa Cruz around 9:00 in the morning.

Day 5 – North Seymour & Mosquera

Requisito: Tener Licencia Open Water (mínimo 6 inmersiones)

We will visit North Seymour and Mosquera, two destinations where you can explore not only the surface but also the wonders hidden in the depths of the ocean. This day will focus on diving, giving you the opportunity to discover the secrets of the Galapagos underwater world. Our highly qualified diving instructors will guide you through an underwater environment rich in marine life. From sharks and rays to colorful fish and turtles, these waters offer you an underwater spectacle that you will never forget. This dive lasts approximately 45 minutes, during which you’ll have the opportunity to marvel at a wide variety of marine species. You may encounter sea lions, Galapagos sharks, whitetip and blacktip sharks, hammerhead sharks, mobula rays, sea turtles, reef fish, eagle rays, Galapagos eels, barracudas, and various invertebrates. After the dive, you’ll enjoy a well-deserved break on the boat, lasting about 45 minutes, during which you can indulge in snacks and drinks.

Underwater Exploration at Mosquera

Your second dive will take you to Mosquera, a small island located between Baltra and Seymour. This dive is considered easy, with moderate currents. The diving instructor will provide you with a detailed briefing before you immerse yourself in the crystal-clear waters. The duration of this dive is approximately 45 minutes, and here you’ll have the opportunity to observe sea lions, rays, sea turtles, hammerhead sharks, Galapagos sharks, reef sharks, endemic fish, and much more.

Day 6 – Gordon Rocks

Requirement: Must have an Advanced Open Water License (minimum 20 dives).
The sixth day of our journey will take you to Gordon Rocks, a renowned paradise for divers in the Galapagos. Here, you will immerse yourself in the thrilling underwater world of this unique archipelago. The waters of Gordon Rocks are famous for their rich marine life and for providing a stunning backdrop for diving. Gordon Rocks is known for its exciting currents, making it a perfect destination for experienced divers. Undoubtedly, this day will give you the opportunity to delve into a truly unique and exciting underwater world.

World-Class Diving Destination

Gordon Rocks, located near the coast of Santa Cruz Island, is globally renowned as an exceptional diving site. It offers two distinct diving spots and is approximately 45 minutes from the Itabaca Channel on the north side of Santa Cruz Island. This destination is particularly suitable for advanced divers due to the strong currents that may be encountered.

Dives at Gordon Rocks

Once we arrive at Gordon Rocks, your diving guide will provide a detailed briefing on the dives you will undertake. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the surrounding waters and discover the incredible diversity of marine life inhabiting this area. Each dive lasts approximately 45 minutes, with a surface interval of around 1 hour between dives. In these waters, you can marvel at species such as Galapagos sharks, whitetip and blacktip sharks, hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, manta rays, the elusive sunfish, playful dolphins, curious sea lions, as well as colorful sea stars, sea urchins, and a wide variety of fish. Additionally, as you explore the rock’s surroundings, you may observe birds such as the iconic blue-footed boobies, the majestic Nazca boobies, pelicans, and elegant frigatebirds.

Your day of underwater adventure will conclude with the return to the port, scheduled around 3:30 p.m., although please note that the exact return time may vary depending on ocean conditions.

Day 7 – Seymour Norte & Daphne

Requirement: Must have an Open Water License (minimum 6 dives).

The seventh day will take you deep into the Galapagos. You’ll start with an exhilarating dive at North Seymour, where you’ll explore an underwater world teeming with amazing marine life. Our diving instructors will guide you through this unique experience.

After the dive, we will head to Daphne, a place famous for its seabirds. Although diving takes center stage, Daphne will surprise you with the opportunity to observe iconic birds such as blue-footed boobies and seagulls. A day dedicated to diving and wildlife at its best.

In this location, the abundant marine life and diverse underwater landscape offer you a unique diving experience. Once we arrive at Seymour, your diving guide will provide a detailed briefing about the dive you are about to undertake before you jump into the sea. This first dive lasts approximately 45 minutes and gives you the opportunity to admire various marine species, such as sea lions, Galapagos sharks, whitetip and blacktip sharks, hammerhead sharks, mobula rays, sea turtles, reef fish, eagle rays, Galapagos eels, barracudas, and a diverse collection of marine invertebrates. After the dive, passengers will enjoy a break on the boat for around 45 minutes, where they can indulge in snacks and drinks.

Diving in Daphne

Our second dive of the day will take place at Daphne, a volcanic island north of Santa Cruz Island. Here, passengers will prepare with their diving gear and receive a briefing from the instructor before submerging into the waters of the Galapagos. This dive also lasts approximately 45 minutes and is suitable for both beginner and experienced divers. Although generally considered an easy dive, strong currents can occasionally occur, making it an ideal spot to become acquainted with diving practices in the Galapagos Islands and explore the amazing marine reserve.
