Preparation and Boarding

Start your day of underwater exploration in the Galápagos Islands by arriving at our agency at 7:30 a.m. The tour kicks off at 8:00 a.m. as we head to Acuario I Dock, where you’ll meet with your diving instructor and embark on this thrilling adventure.

Dive at Darwin Bay
We will sail towards Darwin Bay, our first diving site. Your diving instructor will provide a comprehensive briefing before entering the sea. You will start with surface practices and descend slowly using a line to prevent ear discomfort. You will reach a maximum depth of 12 meters and have approximately 45 minutes to explore this underwater world, full of reef sharks, rays, turtles, barracudas, sea urchins, starfish, and more. After your dive, you’ll return to the boat to enjoy snacks and drinks and recharge during an approximately 1-hour break.
Dive at Carawa
We will sail for about 15 minutes to reach the Carawa diving site, a ship that sunk a century ago and now hosts a wide variety of marine life. Your instructor will provide a comprehensive briefing before you dive. You’ll descend following a line around the sunken ship, where you can observe sea lions, rays, pufferfish, barracudas, turtles, starfish, and more. Similar to the first dive, you’ll have around 45 minutes to explore before resurfacing.
Return to the Port
Our diving day concludes around 1:00 p.m., although the exact time may vary depending on ocean conditions. You’ll return to the port with lasting memories of your underwater exploration in the Galápagos Islands.

Bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a water bottle, and personal items for your trip.
If you have your own snorkeling or diving equipment, you can bring it either one day before and leave it at the agency, or on the day of the tour.

The tour can also take place in the afternoon, starting at 1:00 p.m. and concluding at 5:30 p.m.
This itinerary is subject to changes at the discretion of the Galapagos National Park and its Naturalist guide, in certain cases, depending on ocean conditions. We take safety seriously and always strive to provide you with the best and safest experience.
In light of the pandemic, we have implemented strict cleaning policies. Each piece of equipment is thoroughly disinfected between uses, the agency and the boat are cleaned daily. Hand sanitizer is available at all times.
