You don’t need an Open Water license to immerse yourself in the crystal-clear waters of Shipwreck Bay in San Cristóbal, Galápagos. Our expert diving guides will accompany you at every step, from preparation to immersion, ensuring a safe and thrilling experience.

IMPORTANT: All passengers must arrive at the agency one day before the tour for equipment testing between 3:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Welcome and Preparation
To start this thrilling underwater adventure, all passengers must arrive promptly at the agency at 8:00 a.m. on the day of the tour. Here, they will meet their dedicated diving instructor. After ensuring everyone has the appropriate diving gear, they will move to a classroom where they will watch an introductory video about using diving equipment, underwater signals, and the procedure for diving activities. Upon the video’s conclusion, they will receive additional instruction from the instructor, reinforcing the learned concepts.
Shipwreck Bay Exploration

Next, we will head to Shipwreck Bay, where you’ll have your first dive. The instructor will provide a detailed briefing about the location and safety measures. Then, you’ll enter the sea and perform surface exercises before descending gradually using a guide line to avoid ear discomfort. At around 8 meters deep, you’ll have the chance to marvel at the marine life here, including reef sharks, rays, turtles, barracudas, sea urchins, different types of starfish, octopuses, moray eels, and much more.

Return and Closure
After completing this unforgettable dive, passengers will return to the agency, approximately around 12:30 p.m. Here, they can share their exciting underwater experiences and memories while reflecting on this fascinating foray into the depths of the Galápagos Islands.



Bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a water bottle, and personal items for your trip.



The tour can also take place in the afternoon, starting at 1:00 p.m. and concluding at 5:30 p.m.

This itinerary is subject to changes at the discretion of the Galapagos National Park and its Naturalist guide, in certain cases, depending on ocean conditions. We take safety seriously and always strive to provide the best and safest experience.
In light of the pandemic, we have implemented strict cleaning policies. Each piece of equipment is thoroughly disinfected between uses, the agency and the boat are cleaned daily. Hand sanitizer is available at all times.


Tour price

We will go to Naufragio Bay where you will make your first dive, the guide will give you instructions on how the activity will take place. Then you will jump into the sea to start descending.
