Itinerary

All passengers need to arrive at the agency at 8h00 on the morning of their tour, where we will outfit everyone with diving equipment, includes a long wetsuit, boots, fins, regulator, BCD vest, mask, snorkel, weights and two diving tanks.

At 8h30, we will head to the Muelle Acuario I and Zarpe, where you will meet your diving  instructor and you will embark.

We will sail to the dive site called, Darwin Bay. Where we will do our first dive of the day, the dive instructor will give them the briefing and later they will jump into the sea where they will do their first descent. A line will be used for passengers to get off little by little, making equalizations to avoid discomfort in the ears.

Later we will continue descending to 8 meters deep, where we can find some caverns. This dive lasts approximately 45 minutes, depending on the passenger’s air supply. The maximum depth will be 12 meters. At the dive site you can see reef sharks, rays, turtles, barracudas, sea urchin, batfish, sea star, octopus, moray eel, etc. After finishing the dive, passengers will return to the boat where they can enjoy snacks and drinks. They will have a break of approximately 1 hour before their second dive.

They will sail for about 15 minutes until they reach the second dive site called, Karahua. A ship that was wrecked approximately 100 years ago, exported different products to continental Ecuador. Here you can see different species, since over time a large reef has formed around the hull of the ship.

At the dive site, passengers will get ready with their equipment while listening to the briefing by the instructor. In this dive the passengers will jump into the sea and then follow a line that is connected from the surface to the sunken ship. Once there, the passengers will completely turn the sunken ship until they return to the starting line. This dive also lasts approximately 45 minutes. In this dive you will be able to see, sea lions, rays, balloon fish, barracuda, turtles, sea urchin, sea star, moray eels, lobsters, octopuses, etc.

The return to the port is at approximately 14h00 depending on the ocean conditions.

* The tour can also be done in the afternoon, starting at 13h00 and concluding at 17h30.

*In light of the pandemic, we will be implementing stringent cleaning policies. Every piece of equipment will be thoroughly disinfected between uses, and the agency and boat will be wiped down daily. Hand sanitizer will be available at all times.
