What you’ll likely see
Galapagos sharks, black and white tip sharks, sea turtles, dolphins, sea lions, starfish, sea urchins, assorted fish species, blue-footed, Nazca, pelicans, and frigates.
All passengers must arrive at the agency at 8:40 a.m., where we will prepare all snorkeling equipment, including fins, mask, snorkeling.
We will go to the port of Santa Cruz to embark to La Lobería (small islet located 10 minutes from the port), where we will snorkel and have the chance to swim with sea lions.
Then we will move to Punta Estrada to see various types of birds: blue-footed boobies, seagulls, and pelicans. We will enjoy some snorkeling to see species such as sea lions, rays, and reef sharks.
Then we will have an excursion to Playa de los Perros where we can find Marine Iguanas around an area of volcanic rocks and sesuvium. Then we will continue towards the Love Channel and the Shark Channel, where we may see blue sharks.
Finally, we will visit Las Grietas, the water channels in the middle of volcanic depressions for more snorkeling.
The return to the port is at approximately 12:30 in the afternoon depending on the ocean conditions.
* This tour can also be done in the afternoon, starting at 2:00 p.m. and returning to the port at approximately 5:00 p.m.
* This itinerary is subject to change at the discretion of the Galapagos National Park and your naturalist guide. For example, you can visit the beach first and León Dormido second in certain cases, depending on ocean conditions. We take security seriously and always strive to provide you with the best and safest experience.
* In light of the pandemic, we will be implementing strict cleaning policies. Each piece of equipment will be fully sanitized between uses, and the agency and boat will be cleaned daily. Hand sanitizer will be available at all times.
