Day 1 – Discovery Scuba Dive

Today, you will immerse yourself in the crystal-clear waters of this underwater paradise in your exciting Discovery Scuba Dive adventure. This first day of exploration will lead you to discover the mysteries and beauty of the seabed in this iconic region. Accompanied by expert instructors, you will dive into an underwater world full of awe and wonder, ready to witness the amazing marine life that makes the Galapagos an unparalleled diving destination.

Itinerary:

Arrival and preparation

Start your adventure day early by arriving at the agency at 7:30 a.m. on the day of the tour. At 8:00 a.m., we will head to Aquarium Pier I, where you will meet your diving instructor and embark on your exciting journey into the depths of the Galapagos Islands.

First Dive at Darwin Bay

The first stop on your underwater journey is Darwin Bay, where you will experience your first dive of the day. Your diving instructor will provide a comprehensive briefing before you submerge. Here, you will practice at the surface before gradually descending to a depth of 8 meters. This dive, lasting about 45 minutes depending on your air supply, will take you to explore a fascinating marine world. At this site, you may encounter reef sharks, rays, turtles, barracudas, batfish, sea urchins, various types of starfish, octopuses, moray eels, and more. After the dive, you’ll return to the boat to enjoy refreshing snacks and drinks, and you’ll have a well-deserved break of approximately 1 hour before your next dive.

Second Dive at Carawa

After sailing for about 15 minutes, you will arrive at the second diving site known as Carawa, where a shipwreck from approximately 100 years ago has turned into a reef. Your instructor will provide the necessary instructions, and then you will submerge following a line from the surface to the sunken ship. This dive, like the first one, lasts approximately 45 minutes. Here, you will have the opportunity to observe a rich diversity of marine life, including sea lions, rays, pufferfish, barracudas, turtles, sea urchins, various types of starfish, moray eels, lobsters, octopuses, and more.

After these exciting dives, you will return to the port around 1:00 p.m. However, please note that the exact return time may vary depending on ocean conditions. Your day will be filled with stunning underwater encounters and unique experiences in the waters of the Galapagos Islands.

Day 2 – Kicker Rock Snorkel

Get ready to come face to face with an astonishing variety of marine life, from Galapagos sharks to sea turtles, manta rays, brightly colored tropical fish, and much more. Accompanied by expert naturalist guides, you will explore the depths of this underwater sanctuary and discover why these islands are famous for their unique biodiversity.

Start your day early, as all passengers must arrive at the agency by 7:45 a.m. on the day of the tour. At 8:00 a.m., we will head to Aquarium Pier I, where you will meet your naturalist guide and begin your exciting day of exploration towards Kicker Rock (León Dormido).

Scenic Navigation

During the boat journey to Kicker Rock, you will have the opportunity to observe impressive marine life, such as playful dolphins and a variety of birds that inhabit these waters.

Encounter with Kicker Rock

Upon reaching Kicker Rock, you will be amazed by this majestic formation of volcanic lava rock. Your naturalist guide will provide detailed information about the site and the marine creatures that surround it.

Two Snorkeling Sessions

You will experience two thrilling snorkeling sessions. The first one will take place in the channel between the two rocks, and the second will occur on the western corner of the rock. Your naturalist guide may suggest other sites on the rock or longer snorkeling sessions depending on ocean conditions. Each session will last approximately 45 minutes and will provide you with the opportunity to admire various marine species, such as Galapagos sharks, blacktip and whitetip reef sharks, hammerhead sharks, turtles, manta rays, sunfish, dolphins, sea lions, starfish, sea urchins, and a wide variety of fish. Additionally, you may observe birds like blue-footed boobies, Nazca boobies, pelicans, and frigatebirds surrounding the rock.

Coastal Exploration

After exploring Kicker Rock, passengers will have the opportunity to disembark at one of the beautiful nearby beaches, which could be Manglesito, Puerto Grande, or Cerro Brujo, depending on the boat’s itinerary. Here, you will enjoy a beach walk and have time to participate in another exciting snorkeling activity.

Back to the port

Your day of underwater exploration will conclude around 3:00 p.m. when you return to the port, always keeping in mind that the exact return time may vary depending on ocean conditions. This journey will leave you with lasting memories of the beauty and biodiversity of the Galapagos Islands.

Day 3 – Snorkel Tour 360

Today, on the third day of the “Galápagos 360” tour, you will explore the spectacular San Cristóbal Island. This itinerary features five highlights: Rosa Blanca, Punta Pitt, Bahía Sardina, Cerro Brujo, and Kicker Rock.

The Five Highlighted Destinations

This tour will take you to the 5 most highlighted places on the island, making it one of our most popular options. The places you will explore include Rosa Blanca, Punta Pitt, Bahía Sardina, Cerro Brujo, and Kicker Rock.

Rosa Blanca: Snorkeling and Beach

After the boat ride, you will disembark at Rosa Blanca, where you will have the opportunity to snorkel in the beautiful lagoon, where you can observe turtles, rays, sea lions, reef sharks, and a variety of fish. You can also relax on the beach of this idyllic location.

Punta Pitt: Bird Watching and Sport Fishing

The next stop is at Punta Pitt islet, the only place on the island where you can observe the famous red-footed booby, along with other endemic birds. Depending on ocean conditions, you will have the opportunity to engage in sport fishing to catch tuna and wahoo.

Bahía Sardina: Lunch and Beach Fun

In Bahía Sardina, you will enjoy a delicious lunch on board the boat and then disembark for a stroll along the beach. If you wish, you can snorkel and observe sea lions, rays, sea turtles, and other fascinating marine species.

Cerro Brujo: Photography and Bird Watching

At Cerro Brujo, you will have the opportunity to admire the majestic “Cathedral,” an impressive natural arch formation. Here, you can take spectacular photographs and, if you’re lucky, observe endemic birds in the surroundings.

Kicker Rock (León Dormido): Snorkeling and Majestic Landscape

The final stop will take you to Kicker Rock (León Dormido), where your naturalist guide will provide a briefing before an exciting snorkeling session. Here, you can observe an incredible variety of marine life, such as Galapagos sharks, blacktip and whitetip reef sharks, hammerhead sharks, turtles, manta rays, sunfish, dolphins, sea lions, starfish, sea urchins, and a diversity of fish. Additionally, you can enjoy the majestic landscape of Kicker Rock, located on the west side of San Cristóbal Island. You may also spot impressive birds such as frigatebirds, blue-footed and Nazca boobies, storm petrels, and lava gulls.

Your day of exploration will conclude around 5:00 p.m., always considering that the exact return time may vary depending on ocean conditions. This journey will provide you with unforgettable memories of the astonishing beauty and biodiversity of the Galapagos Islands.
