Day 1 – Diving in Darwin and Carawa Bay

On the first day of your exciting tour in the Galapagos Islands, you will immerse yourself in the amazing underwater world of Darwin Bay and Carawa. After arriving at the agency, we will head to Acuario I Dock, where you will meet your naturalist guide, and your navigation will begin. During the journey, keep your eyes open to spot dolphins and seabirds. In Darwin Bay, you will plunge into the water for an unforgettable snorkeling experience, where you may come face to face with Galapagos sharks, manta rays, tropical fish, and much more. Then, we will head to Carawa, a unique diving site, where you will explore the mysterious remains of a shipwreck and marvel at the surrounding marine life.

Arrival and preparation

The first day of your thrilling underwater adventure in the Galapagos Islands begins with all passengers arriving at the agency at 7:30 a.m. At 8:00 a.m., we will head to Acuario I Dock, where you will dive into the world of scuba diving. There, we will introduce you to your diving instructor, and you will prepare for an experience that will be etched in your memory forever.

Exploration in Darwin Bay

Your first dive of the day will take place in Darwin Bay, an extraordinary diving site. Before submerging, you will receive a detailed briefing from your diving guide, who will introduce you to the underwater wonders that await you. You will descend slowly into the marine depths, reaching a maximum depth of 12 meters. For approximately 45 minutes, you will have the opportunity to observe playful sea lions, reef sharks, batfish, graceful rays, curious pufferfish, and much more. After this thrilling dive, you will return to the boat to enjoy a well-deserved break with snacks and drinks while sharing your impressions with other diving enthusiasts.

Discovery in Carawa

After recharging, the adventure continues in Carawa, a place where time has stood still since the shipwreck over a century ago. Following instructions from your guide, you will submerge and explore a reef that has developed around the wreckage. During this approximately 45-minute dive, you may encounter playful sea lions, majestic rays, curious pufferfish, turtles, and a variety of marine life that will leave you breathless.

Back to the port

At the end of this unique experience, you will resurface and prepare to return to the port, where you are expected to arrive around 1:00 p.m., although the schedule may vary depending on ocean conditions.

Day 2 – Kicker Rock Diving

Requirement: Open Water License (minimum 8 dives)

On the second day of your thrilling journey, you will dive into the depths of the ocean to explore the iconic diving site at El León Dormido. You will meet with your diving guide for a unique underwater experience. El León Dormido is famous for its diverse and exciting marine life, including Galapagos sharks, black and white-tip sharks, manta rays, turtles, dolphins, and a variety of tropical fish. You will discover an underwater world filled with beauty and excitement as you explore this iconic diving destination.

Arrival and preparation

The first day of this exciting tour starts early, with all passengers arriving at the agency at 7:45 a.m. At 8:00 a.m., we will head to Acuario I Dock, where you will meet your naturalist guide, and your navigation will begin towards one of the most iconic sites in the Galapagos Islands.

Kicker Rock exploration

Upon arriving at Leon Dormido, you will marvel at this majestic volcanic rock that rises imposingly from the ocean. Here, the diving guide will provide you with a comprehensive briefing on the dives you will undertake. During this day, two dives will be conducted. The first will start from the channel between the two rocks, and the second dive will take place on the west corner of the rock. Depending on ocean conditions, the guide might suggest other exploration sites in this unique rock formation.

Underwater Encounter

Each dive has an approximate duration of 45 minutes, and between dives, you will enjoy a surface interval of about 1 hour. During these dives, you will have the opportunity to admire the diverse marine life that inhabits these waters. You may encounter Galapagos sharks, black and white-tip sharks, hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, manta rays, moonfish, playful dolphins, curious sea lions, charming starfish, sea urchins, and a varied range of fish.

Beach Break and Lunch

Once you have explored Leon Dormido, passengers will enjoy a landing on a beach. The location of this beach may vary depending on the boat’s itinerary and could be Manglesito, Puerto Grande, or Cerro Brujo. Here, you will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch aboard the boat and take a pleasant walk on the beach. You will also have time to immerse yourself in the crystal-clear waters during a snorkeling activity.

The day will conclude with the return to the port, scheduled around 3:00 p.m. However, please note that the exact return time may vary depending on ocean conditions.

Day 3 – Ferrys San Cristóbal – Santa Cruz – Isabela

Ferry 1: San Cristóbal – Santa Cruz

IMPORTANT: Passengers must be at Hammerhead Shark Dock at 6:00 in the morning for the necessary luggage checks by the Galapagos National Park staff and to proceed with boarding the boat. The boat journey is estimated to last approximately 2 hours, with the expected arrival in Santa Cruz around 9:00 in the morning.

Ferry 2: Santa Cruz – Isabela

IMPORTANT: Passengers must be at Gus Angermeyer Passenger Dock at 14:00 in the afternoon for the necessary luggage checks by the Galapagos National Park staff and to proceed with boarding the boat. The boat journey is estimated to last approximately 2 hours, with the expected arrival on Isabela Island around 17:00 in the afternoon.

Day 4 – Isla Tortuga

Today, you will embark on an exciting adventure to the beautiful Tortuga Island. This island is renowned for its natural beauty and crystal-clear waters, making it perfect for an unforgettable snorkeling experience. You will meet your naturalist guide and begin a day filled with exploration and fun. Discover the fascinating marine life that inhabits the waters around Tortuga Island, from colorful tropical fish to majestic sea turtles. Immerse yourself in this underwater paradise and savor the beauty and serenity that Tortuga Island has to offer.

Enjoy a boat ride along the coast, a unique opportunity to spot dolphins and a diverse range of birds, from frigates to Nazca boobies and blue-footed boobies. Your guide will provide a detailed briefing about the wildlife in the area before preparing you for snorkeling.

Snorkeling Session at Tortuga Island

Immerse yourself in an exciting snorkeling session of approximately 1 hour at one of the highlights of Isabela Island. This location is an underwater cleaning station and is home to a great diversity of marine life, including turtles, tropical fish, rays, sea lions, marine iguanas, black-tip sharks, white-tip sharks, hammerhead sharks, and giant manta rays.

Vivential Fishing and Lunch

Returning to the boat, you can enjoy a demonstration of vivential fishing. If successful, the caught fish will be served fresh as part of your experience. Afterward, indulge in drinks and a delicious lunch on board.

Second Snorkeling Session at Lobería Grande

Your adventure continues at Lobería Grande, where you will have your second snorkeling session. Your guide will provide information about the area and the marine species present.

Back to the port

Conclude your day of exploration around 1:30 p.m. with the return to the port, always subject to ocean conditions.

Day 5 – Lava Tunnels Tour

Today, you will embark on an exciting exploration of the Lava Tunnels, one of the most impressive natural wonders in the Galapagos. These underwater lava tunnels offer a surreal landscape and a unique snorkeling experience. Your naturalist guide will accompany you as you discover the secrets of this amazing underwater world. In this adventure, you will immerse yourself in crystal-clear waters to closely observe the marine life inhabiting the tunnels, including tropical fish, sea turtles, and white-tip sharks. Additionally, you will learn about the fascinating geology of the tunnels and the history of their formation.

Your day begins early, arriving at the agency at 8:00 a.m., and then heading to the dock at 8:30 a.m., where you will meet your naturalist guide, and your exciting journey to Cabo Rosa will commence.

Marine Encounter and Bird Watching

During the boat trip, you will have the opportunity to observe sea turtles and various species of birds. We will pass very close to the rock “La Unión” in open sea, where you can spot pelicans, blue-footed boobies, Nazca boobies, and sea lions resting around the rock.

Arrival at Cabo Rosa and The Tunnels

After a brief stop, we will sail approximately 20 minutes to Cabo Rosa, known as “The Tunnels.” Here, you will be amazed by the unique volcanic formations. Your naturalist guide will provide a detailed briefing about the location and its wildlife.

Hike and Snorkeling Activity at "El Finado"

We will hike to reach “El Finado,” a site where you will enjoy an exciting snorkeling activity. Under the waters, you can observe a wide variety of tropical fish, sea turtles, eagle rays, marine iguanas, lava lizards, white-tip sharks, and the highlight, the seahorse!

Back to the port
After these fascinating activities, we will embark again to start the return journey to Puerto Villamil.

Day 6: Ferry Isabela – Santa Cruz

IMPORTANT: Passengers must be at Puerto Villamil Dock at 5:30 in the morning for the necessary luggage checks by the Galapagos National Park staff and to proceed with boarding the boat. The boat journey is estimated to last approximately 2 hours, with the expected arrival on Isabela Island around 8:00 in the morning.

Day 7: North Seymour Diving

Today, an exciting day of diving awaits you at one of the highlights of the Galapagos, North Seymour. This location is known for its abundant marine life and changing underwater landscapes that offer a unique diving experience. You will immerse yourself in crystal-clear waters to explore this underwater world teeming with life, from playful sea lions to majestic Galapagos sharks. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to observe white-tip and black-tip sharks, hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, mobula rays, and a variety of reef fish.

Your exciting day starts early as you need to arrive at the agency at 7:00 am for the tour. At 7:30 am, we will head to the dock, where you will meet your experienced dive guide and board the boat.

Discovering North Seymour

North Seymour is located north of Baltra Island, an area known for its rich marine life and changing underwater landscapes that provide a unique diving experience at each site.

Briefing and First Dive

Upon reaching Seymour, your dive guide will provide a detailed briefing for the dive. Then, you will immerse yourself in the waters for approximately 45 minutes. Here, you will have the opportunity to admire a wide variety of marine species, such as sea lions, Galapagos sharks, white-tip and black-tip sharks, hammerhead sharks, mobula rays, sea turtles, reef fish, eagle rays, Galapagos eels, barracudas, and a diverse range of invertebrates.

Rest Time and Refreshments

After the dive in Seymour, you will enjoy a well-deserved rest on the boat, lasting approximately 45 minutes. Here, you can indulge in snacks and beverages while sharing your underwater experiences with fellow passengers.

Second Dive at Mosquera

Our next stop is Mosquera, a small island located between Baltra and Seymour. This dive is considered easy, with moderate currents at the site. Your dive instructor will provide detailed information about the location before you jump into the sea. This dive also lasts approximately 45 minutes. Here, you can observe sea lions, rays, turtles, hammerhead sharks, Galapagos sharks, reef sharks, endemic fish, and much more.

After an exciting day of diving and marine exploration, we will return to the port around 3:30 pm, always depending on ocean conditions.

Day 8: Isla Pinzon Tour

On the last day of your amazing journey to the Galapagos Islands, you will embark on an adventure to Pinzón Island. This island is known for its unique biodiversity and stunning landscapes. You will explore the waters of Bahía Pingüino for an exciting snorkeling session, where you may observe sea turtles, various species of tropical fish, rays, and perhaps even the rare seahorse.

Heading to Pinzón Island

Your journey to Pinzón Island will begin. In Bahía Pingüino, our first stop, you will enjoy your first snorkeling activity. Here, the naturalist guide will provide detailed information about the flora and fauna of the area. After this exciting immersion, you can enjoy hot/cold drinks and snacks on board.

Second Snorkeling Session at Bahía Pingüino.

Continuing the adventure at Bahía Pingüino, where you’ll have the opportunity for a second snorkeling session lasting approximately 45 minutes. After everyone is back on board, we will sail to La Fe for a delicious seafood-based lunch, an authentic culinary experience from local fishermen.

Exploration at Las Palmitas

Our next stop is Las Palmitas, where we will have a wet landing and a guided walk to learn about the area, its endemic flora, and fauna.

Demonstration of Vivential Fishing

During the journey between Las Palmitas and Puerto Ayora, you will enjoy a demonstration of vivential fishing. If we are lucky enough to catch any fish, it will be served fresh as part of the experience.

Exploration at Hidden Beach

Finally, we will arrive at Hidden Beach, where we will conduct a wet landing and a guided walk. Here, our guide will provide information about the local species. You will also have the option to engage in another snorkeling activity or simply relax on this beautiful, paradisiacal beach.

The day concludes with our return to the port, scheduled around 4:30 p.m., although this may vary depending on ocean conditions.
