Commitment to Sustainable Tourism and the Community
At Aquaventures Dive Center, we are deeply committed to preserving the environment and supporting the local community in the Galápagos Islands. As part of our sustainable tourism initiatives, we regularly organize coastal cleanups to protect the region’s fragile marine ecosystem. Additionally, we work closely with the local community, offering nonprofit programs to train Galápagos residents as professional divers.
We also provide specific volunteer programs for local residents, where they learn about the diving business and develop key industry skills. Due to the strict laws of the Galápagos, we cannot accept national or international volunteers. However, for those interested in contributing to ocean conservation, we organize monthly integration and underwater cleanup programs, which include our specialty Dive Against Debris Diver course. This allows participants to actively help preserve the marine environment while acquiring valuable conservation-focused diving skills.
