We had an excellent experience diving with Aqua Ventures in San Cristóbal. The staff was professional, organized & did a fantastic job setting up all of our gear, making the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. Love that they provide GoPro footage from the trip as well.
We started with a two-tank dive at Kicker Rock, which was as iconic as expected. Enjoyed it so much that we spontaneously booked another dive for the following day at Darwin Bay and Carawa Wreck. While Kicker Rock was incredible, Darwin Bay ended up being especially memorable with sea lions swimming and playing all around us.
The dive operation was great. Shop location is perfect too. Easy walking distance to the boat dock and everything in town.

My partner and I did 2 excursions with Aquadventures and they were great. Shoutout to Jesus and Charlecito and the friendly staff in the shop. We loved that they had a gopro available for the excursions as we didn't have a personal one.
Day 1: Refresher dive at Darwin Bay and Carawa wreck. We dived with Jesus and he was fantastic, it has been a really long time since our last dive, so he walked us through all the refresher skills slowly and was clear underwater. He made me feel safe and confident and his enthusiasm was appreciated. My only problem on day 1 was a leaky mask, so recommend taking a spare or testing it before diving to set yourself up for success.
Day 2: My partner dived at kicker rock and I was on the snorkelling tour. We ended up heading to a beach first off which was lovely, but the group were confused as it wasn't clear how long we would be on the beach for and the time kept changing. I understand the national park's restrictions but more proactive communication would have helped with group expectations.
The swell was very strong during the snorkelling tour which I wasn't expecting, but Charlecito was accompanying us with a life ring which was really appreciated as the conditions were pretty choppy and felt a bit scary. I also had an issue with my snorkel as it bent in half during the dive, so I couldn't breath properly which was annoying. Charlecito was really kind though as when the conditions were a bit overwhelming we held onto the ring and he got us back to the boat. He also swapped his equipment with me, which made a huge difference and the 2nd attempt to snorkel was much better (eagle rays, lots of fish and turtles). I really appreciated his enthusiasm, humour and patience.

Our snorkeling guide, Martin Cox, was fantastic — young, energetic, professional, and clearly passionate about what he does. One of our friends cannot swim, but Martin safely guided her using a flotation ring the whole time, which made everyone feel relaxed and included.
The team (captain, assistant, and guide) was professional, friendly, and full of positive energy. We saw sharks, sea turtles, huge schools of fish swimming all around us — absolutely magical!

We had an amazing diving and snorkling experience with this centre. At Kicker Rock we've seen lots of fish including tuna, Spotted eagle rays, Hammerhead sharks, Black and White tipped reef sharks, sea lions and turtles. The crew took excellent care of us. We had two great dives with Aquaventures! It was easily to book at the shop with the crew there. We spent one impressive day at Kicker Rock with divemaster Frank who was excellent in spotting hammerheads and other wildlife, and one day at Darwin Bay with diveguide Jesus and captain Marlon Brando 😉 Jesus really took the time to show us everything and we were able to spend plenty of time below the surface. Service and care both days was amazing, with cool drinks, food and towels. Would recommend for sure!

The team were very helpful with all aspects of the trip..
As it was a local short boat trip we had some snack and fruits in between dives..I would recommend this company from my experience and having been diving for many years.

Gabriel was our guide.. Good safety briefing and thorough.
The team were very helpful with all aspects of the trip..
As it was a local short boat trip we had some snack and fruits in between dives..I would recommend this company from my experience and having been diving for many years.

We had booked two tours with Aquaventures Dive Center - the Darwin Bay / Carawa Shipwreck Dives, as well as the Santa Cruz Highlands Tour. Both were incredible.
First are the dives - both were incredibly welcoming for beginners, while Darwin Bay was prone to a bit more current, it was still a great experience with an incredible divemaster. We went in a group of six, with three divemasters to take each couple underwater. My wife and I, both Open Water Certified Divers, had an incredible time, checking out the rocky terrain around Darwin Bay, as well as some of the more industrial and historical underwater sights of Carawa. Our DM gave us a great explanation on the history of the ship and perfectly explained, all underwater, the purposes of each part of the ship - it was an incredible experience. Overall a great and very professional Dive Company to work with.
I had originally, accidentally, booked the Highlands Tour of Santa Cruz with Aquaventures. I had thought it would be a mistake, seeing as they're based in San Cristobal but we were staying in Puerto Ayora. Rest assured though, we met our driver and Naturalist outside of our Santa Cruz hotel, and had an incredible experience. The Highlands Tour is only enhanced by the presence of a naturalist, and I highly suggest you opt for it if you're looking into this tour. The sights of El Chato, the Lava Tunnels, and Los Gemlos were truly beautiful, and it was only made better by our guide. Our Naturalist also matched my excitement when it came to the local birds, pointing out finch species that would otherwise be passed upon by visitors who wouldn't pay them much mind. It was very welcome to have!
Really - just an overall professional experience with Aquaventures Dive Center! Highly recommend them!

good experience, recommended I will come back! with some caveats:
i recommend booking what you want in advance. they are nice but they dont do miracles. if you would like to dive tell in advance. also know that the tours have to be fully payed in advance. you cannot do like i did: go there and hope they will be diving tomorrow on kicker rock.... simply sometimes there is no room for you. I did 2 easy dives and they were really iconic of the sea landscape of the galapagos, the day after we went to kicker rock on snorkel, i was lucky i ve spotted 1 hammerhead 2 times during the tour but you have to be lucky. be prepared the water is cold, galapagos are not a place for beginners (it is not that they wont survive the dive but simply they wont enjoy). be comfortable with cold water (drysuit if ur a pussy), be confortable with a little bit of current, listen to the briefing they tell you everything. otherwise snorkel, it is still amazing and unique.

I did 2 easy dives and they were really iconic of the sea landscape of the galapagos, the day after we went to kicker rock on snorkel, i was lucky i ve spotted 1 hammerhead 2 times during the tour but you have to be lucky. be prepared the water is cold, galapagos are not a place for beginners (it is not that they wont survive the dive but simply they wont enjoy). be comfortable with cold water (drysuit if ur a pussy), be confortable with a little bit of current, listen to the briefing they tell you everything. otherwise snorkel, it is still amazing and unique.

Absolutely recommend. I got my Scuba Open Water license here and had an amazing experience. I was able to get my eLearning done ahead of time and show up with knowledge of the equipment. My instructor, Laleska was super friendly and kind. I felt like hanging out with a friend while learning this new skill. Plus the Galapagos waters are perfect for learning, full of marine life and the rocky environment makes it easier for a new diver. My first dive in open water was full of sea lions playing. They played with our bubbles, sand dollars, and our dive flag. I been to the Galapagos Island multiple times and this new skill really gives me a new perspective, the decision to get scuba certified has been an extremely rewarding experience. I also feel so grateful to have found Aquaventures and for my instructor Laleska. Aquaventures is very well set up and professional. After getting my certification I went out on a third day of diving and joined a dive at Kicker Rock where I swam inside large schools of fishes and saw many sharks and large marine turtles. Had a great experience diving with Aquaventures. I had an issue underwater and the guide got me back to the boat safely. The 2nd dive, the dive master stayed with me to make sure I felt safe. The captain was nice, the fruit was good. The equipment was perfect. Overall great experience, would dive with this company again.

Especially Josue, Lalesca (my diving instructor), Ivan and Franklyn are wonderful people like everyone else there. You do really cool dives!! We were at a shipwreck from 1916, diving with playing maned seals, hammerhead sharks, a school of thousands, no, hundreds of thousands of fish (goosebumps and a moment I will never forget in my life!!). We took the 360 Tour. Our guide was very good and dinner on the boat too. The snorkeling was really hot!!!
However, the boat is really not comfortable for 12 people for such a long period. There were 2 coolers on the deck to serve as benches...but we survived 😉

I completed my Open Water Diver course with Aquaventures and passed with great success thanks to Alex and the entire team. Unfortunately, I didn’t have much time, but the course was adjusted so I could finish in just two days. Everything was very well organized and professional. Alex is a cool and friendly guy, very knowledgeable and brings a lot of calmness to the dive sessions. Excellent dive spots were chosen for my training. On the first day, countless sea lions swam around us, and on the second day, we dived with sharks, rays and turtles. On the third day, as a certified diver, I joined a dive at Kicker Rock and saw countless hammerhead sharks, Galapagos sharks, turtles, sea lions, mantas and massive schools of fish. I would book with Aquaventures again anytime! I contacted several dive centers and their offer was the best. Thank you for the unforgettable experience!

I had a good experience with this company. The day before the dive, we filled out the paperwork and tried on the wetsuit, goggles and boots for size, that way on the day of the dive we just had to walk to the boat and our equipment was already there. Our dive master was pretty good, but he was working free lance, so you could probably get any random dive master. The other staff on board likewise also provided good and attentive service. The food served for lunch was very good and veg friendly: rice and lentils, beans, sautéed veggies, salad, omelettes or seafood/meat depending on chosen protein, plus fruit, biscuits and juice and coffee. The boat ride was very smooth, not too long and nobody felt sick, although your mileage may vary. Worth it to bring/take pills just in case.
Some points of consideration: we went first to an island to hang out, and afterwards did the dives/snorkels. I would much rather dive first thing, and then eat lunch and relax on an island. Also, we were not given dive gloves nor dive caps, so it was pretty cold underwater and my bare hands got shredded with lots of cuts because the dive master made us hold onto coral in the super strong currents. So I would recommend requesting gloves and a cap, or bringing your own if possible. The currents in Galapagos are incredibly strong.

A perfect underwater adventure and excellent service. We have gone to the sleeping lion and seen an incredible amount of fish. The crew and the dive master were excellent. If I ever return to San Cristóbal I will hire the services of Aquaventures again!

Aquaventures Dive Center offers a quality diving experience. I did 3 days of diving there, and everything went perfectly. The equipment provided was impeccable, with a wetsuit in excellent condition, almost new, which allowed me to dive comfortably without feeling cold, even in cooler waters. The organization was impeccable, from the reception to the end of the dives, with a professional and attentive team. I can only recommend this center for those who wish to dive with complete peace of mind in the Galapagos.

My wife and I took an Open Water Diver course with Aquaventures and enjoyed a wonderful time and highly professional support. Our diving instructor was Alex and he really taught us how to dive conscientiously. He listened to our weaknesses and corrected mistakes without becoming impatient, angry or stressed. We had really great dives with him. The organization by the school itself was also top notch. We had enough time to work on the theory beforehand and the certificate for the course was available on the same day. Thank you very much for the great time. We are very satisfied.

Those who snorkeled went with the naturalist Gustavo. At first, I explain the animals, rocks, etc. very well. But I didn't go down with them on the second dive and ended the day sleeping on the boat.

We have done several activities with them, and everything was fantastic! But I would like to highlight the guide Jesús González, who of all the instructors has been by far the most professional, serious and safe!
He has a lot of experience at a technical level both underwater and with the material, it is a plus of security that everything is in order. It's been fantastic! If I could choose it I would choose it without hesitation! Thank you for such nice experiences!

Upon entry we saw a school of hammerheads that hung around for the whole dive. There was so much fish, turtles and other marine life too! On the second dive we were engulfed by a highway of Salema fish, and every so often mackerel, sea lions and blacktip sharks would penetrate through the traffic to create dark holes. It was insane! Thanks so much guys for the absolute Galapagos dream dives!!

We decided on a snorkeling trip to Kickers Rock and were very satisfied. The staff was friendly and helpful. We went out with a group of divers and were quickly joined by two more snorkelers at the harbor. We were looked after very well during the tour and while one group did their dives, we had our own guide with us for snorkeling. He showed us the best spots and ensured our safety. With his help we were able to discover countless turtles as well as various sharks and even hammerhead sharks. Kickers Rock is a bit like a giant aquarium and really beautiful. Back on the boat we had lunch and a stop at the nearby beach. We were even offered snacks and drinks between snorkeling and diving. We felt safe and well looked after. After the tour you could download the pictures and videos from the GoPro camera for free in the shop.

We booked for diving in Leon Dormant and the Espanola Island tour. Because Espanola Island could not yet be visited, they offered us other tours. We liked León Asleep so much that we repeated. We booked for diving in Leon Dormant and the Espanola Island tour. Because Espanola Island could not yet be visited, they offered us other tours. We liked León Asleep so much that we repeated. I went diving 3 times with this agency and it is truly the best agency in San Cristobal. Not only the incredible staff at the reception are always very friendly but also the best instructor named Franklin. I felt super safe the entire time, super super friendly and takes incredible videos and photos!!!!!! I was very happy and I recommend it 100%!!

I took 2 tours with them (Lion Asleep and Buceo Discovery) on both of them the experience was amazing and they made me feel safe at all times. The Discovery Dive included photos and the guide did a very good job capturing the moments with his camera

A great experience from beginning to end. We were the only 2 snorkelers on a tour with several divers. However even though we didn’t dive we saw an incredible amount of wildlife. Immediately upon jumping in the water we were greeted by several Galapagos sharks. Our snorkel guide was great. He led us around and through the rock formation and we were able to spot more sharks, turtles, a playful sea lion, rays, even a Hammerhead! He was able to get some good footage and pictures of us with the animals on our GoPro. Lunch was filling and much better than expected and the second snorkel spot/beach was beautiful and remote. Had a great experience overall and highly recommend AquaVentures!

We‘ve seen many curious, playful sea lions, sea turtles, sharks (among those a school of hammer heads), … absolutely recommendable.

We had two unforgettable dives at Kicker's Rock. The equipment of the dive center was great and there were even women's suits. Franklin was a very professional dive guide who has a lot of experience and respected nature and animals at all times, truly one of a kind. We were able to experience two dives with countless hammer and reef sharks, to see reef sharks and sea lions hunting and always had the feeling of observing the animals and not disturbing them. An absolute plus is the crew and the ship 7 Mares we have never been on such a beautiful and large catamaran for a day trip with such a professional and courteous crew. Thanks!!!

I’ve been diving with Aquaventures two years in a row and have not been disappointed. The crew is organized from the start of trying equipment on the day before and the staff speak English well. You’ll be placed on a boat with people from other shops and appointed a guide from the park service. We had Franklin who was top notch and highly recommend! We just had a horrible experience on Isabella and it really showcased the professionalism and organization of Aquaventures.

Great place for a day snorkel tour, their boat was quite nice and took it's time, it was a smooth ride so no issues with Sea Sickness. The guide they brought us to was very knowledgeable, took great videos and photos on their GoPro and shared them after so we could focus on the fish. Just be careful getting your equipment fitted, we had some issues getting everything to work comfortably.

We booked and paid online before we got to San Cristobal, which was unnerving because our previous dive was cancelled last minute but this company delivered!! They were all set up and ready for us to try on our gear the night before, it was all new dive equipment, well taken care of too. The staff were all amazing, so helpful, accommodating and informative. All 3 trips we did with them were great and we saw so much! So happy we booked with aqua adventures, they went above and beyond to make our Dives amazing!! And they sent us all the videos which were so great!! Such a great experience!!

He explained everything very well, made us feel safe and comfortable so that we had an amazing diving experience and could focus on the wildlife which was outstanding. Wonderful experience with a 360 tour thanks 100% to the guide Enrique. I have physical and mobility challenges and this course was tough but Enrique was so kind and encouraging and literally walked me through it! It was an amazing experience and great way to not just see but experience the beauty of the islands.

I did my Open Water Certification with Josue and it was an amazing experience. He’s an excellent, calm and clear instructor. We blazed through it in the span of a few days and did our first real dives an incredible environment teeming with life. Completely and absolutely worth it.

We dove at Darwin bay and the ship wreck. It was so fun. The crew is very relaxed. The tuna sandwich was such a good snack between the dives. Stephen was a very calm instructor that helped us when my partner ran out of air. That is a very good quality in an instructor. I would definitely dive with them again. They also got really good GoPro footage!!
